BSEL Annual General Meeting (2011)
The 2011 Annual General Meeting of BSEL was held on Thursday 14 April 2011. The Meeting was chaired by Alan Beavis, OBE. Attending the meeting were members and supporters of BSEL and afterwards a networking reception was successfully undertaken.

BSEL Funding
We are currently looking into various funding opportunities including Lottery funding and are hoping to have news of obtaining some funding for future projects soon.
GTC disabled parking
A disabled parking area has been created at Gravelly Training Centre (GTC) allowing greater use and access to the training centre.

Train to Gain
This contract is coming towards its successful completion (July 2011).
In the meantime, BSEL continues to provide National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in Team Leading; Activity Leadership; Customer Service; and Management. Scout Leaders; GirlGuiding Leaders; and Leaders & Managers from other voluntary organisations; continue to benefit from the success of the scheme.
Future Jobs Fund
The Future Jobs Fund has been completed successfully. A report on the contract will be posted soon.
Work was successfully carried out at the following locations: Burghfield Common; Reading Girls Football Club Pavilion & Sports Ground; Pete Harrod Farm; Ufton Court; 2nd Woodley Scout HQ; Reading Scouts & GirlGuiding HQ; Dinton Pastures; Basildon Park; Living Rainforest; Econet; Greenham Common; and Thatcham.
Berkshire Young People's Project
The Berkshire Young People's Project has been completed successfully.
The Berkshire Young People's Project was a successful way of providing opportunities for unemployed people. Each week we had an average of eight volunteers attending a minimum of two days a week, with a mix of new and regular volunteers. The participants developed a number of skills such as leadership; team work; and confidence. The team also helped a number of local charities completing a wide range of conversation projects to improve the environment.
The project included working closely with Adventure Dolphin.

New publicity
The company have three new pull-up banners. The banners will be used to promote BSEL (the company); Gravelly Training Centre (GTC); and Training for your Future.
Bambang Sunshine Project
BSEL continue to support the Bambang Sunshine Project which brings help to Philippine children with disabilities.
